About Me
I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2003 with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in music performance. I taught first grade at Bugg Creative Arts and Science Elementary School in Raleigh for five years. After that, I taught in a small village school in Balsham, England which is near Cambridge. I had a Year 3/4 class (Grades 2/3). The new grade level along with the other changes of moving to a new country, made it a difficult, yet very rewarding experience. After returning from England, I taught a fourth grade class at Laurel Park Elementary for one quarter. I loved the older kids! For the remainder of the year I went back to Bugg to teach first grade. This past year I have been very happy to teach third grade at Green Hope Elementary in Cary, NC.

For lunch we went in small groups to various local pubs. My group went to the George Abbot, one of Guildford's oldest pubs.

The Lake District
In the massive peaks of the Lake District,
Opposite the Derwentwater from the the YHA hostel,
At the top of a seemingly unreachable summit,
Stands a fulfilled Julie.
Six Word Story
Although six word stories typically are written linearly, like a quote, in order to make an impact from the order of the words, I decided to see what happened when I entered mine into Wordle. I like the outcome of this six word story "in a jumble" because it leaves the reader wondering about the order.
